SAD007 - Painless... for a moment
Sadie, in the Demon's castle...
Sadie was alone in her room in the castle – fifteen hundred miles away from The Leys – when she felt it.
Suddenly the itch was gone!
Her back arched and her breath caught in her throat. Her eyes closed lightly. Her lips trembled. The world faded away as she focused on the feeling... it was a blissful
relief.
For the first time in twenty years, the irritation had stopped. The itching sensation in her stomach had faded away, blending in with every other fibre of her being. Darkness overcame
her; complete darkness... stillness... She embraced it with her mind, body and spirit.
She knew it was the boy. He was in agony; and his suffering eased her pain; it took away the intolerable itch inside her, replacing it with the same bitterness that saturated the rest
of her body.
Images flashed threw her mind; images of the boy; glimpses of his world... he was in a room... he was lying on a blue surface... someone was on top of him... a girl... she was hurting him... twisting
his legs mercilessly.
Sadie’s breath fluttered in her chest. The boy was in excruciating pain. He was crying in agony. It was blissful to her.
She held her breath, clinging to the sensation, silently begging for it to never end. Was this what it would feel like, when they were finally united?
A gasp escaped her as she felt his soul merging with hers, falling into the inevitable blackness. A powerful force dammed up inside her, irresistibly dark and evil. Never before had she
felt him like this; never had she comprehended how truly powerful the forces were.
Suddenly it was over; the itch reappeared in her stomach. She gritted her teeth and screamed out in bitter frustration.
