Modern living

The Iunctus (both Angels and Demons) tend to gather into clusters.  They are attracted together, into like-minded groups.
In the main, they keep themselves separated from society.  They hide away, living lives of secrecy, for fear of being exposed.
A Iunctus was captured once, in the 1960s (you might recall the story – or at least the rumours) – he drew too much attention to himself, and he was taken by scientists who imprisoned him and ran endless experiences, hell bent on discovering his youth-giving secrets.  But they found no answers.  It seems they merely probed and probed for a physical explanation for his strange abilities, believing that all answers lie in science alone; their minds were apparently closed to the wonders of spiritual energy.  Eventually they broke the very thing they were looking for, and they broke him.  He died in captivity, insane with fear and paranoia.  It would be fair to say that ‘secrecy’ has been a by-word for the Iunctus ever since.
